Settlers Visa "Spouse of Nikkei 3" category

If the foreign national (applicant) is the spouse (husband or wife) of a second-generation Japanese, they are classified into the following three categories.
The type of attached document differs when applying.

"Category 1"
Nikkei 3 people are working for a company etc.
"Category 2"
When Japanese Nation 3 is self-employed etc
"Category 3"
When the Japanese 3 world is unemployed

  1. 1. Documents issued by your city/ward/town/village office (all of the following)
    1. ① Marriage registration acceptance certificate 1 copy
      *Submit only if notified to a government office in Japan.
    2. ② 3 copy of the second generation resident's certificate (including all household members)
    3. ③ One copy each of the second generation resident tax (or exemption) certificate and tax payment certificate (stating total income and tax payment status for the year)

    3. ③ BJT Business Japanese Language Proficiency Test conducted by the Japan Association of Japanese Language Proficiency Test Association JLRT Document proving that you acquired over 400 points in the test (written test)
    4. ④ Documents certifying education of 1 years or more at the school prescribed in Article 1 of the School Education Act (except kindergarten)
      * Must be submitted if you wish to extend your period of stay to 5 years (excluding minors)

"Category 2"

Points to note when preparing application documents
