Requirements for obtaining specific activity visas

One of the following applies. In case
- 1. Diplomats and consular officers received by the Government of Japan
- 2. Persons who enjoy the same privileges and immunities as diplomatic envoys
- 3. Persons working for the public service of a foreign government or international organization approved by the Japanese government who do not employ domestic servants (excluding diplomats and consular officers)
※ Up to one person can obtain a visa as a domestic employee. - 4. Representative and Vice Representative of the Japan Office of the Association of East Asian Relations, which does not employ domestic servants
- 5. Representative of the Permanent Mission of Palestine to Japan who does not employ domestic servants
- 6. Any of the following persons of the rank of major or above who do not employ domestic servants:
- (1) Members of the United States armed forces as provided for in the provisions of the statutes concerning facilities, areas, and the status of United States armed forces in Japan based on the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the United States and Japan.
- (2) Members of the United Nations forces as provided for in the Agreement regarding the Status of the United Nations Forces in Japan
- 7. Those who hold highly skilled professional visas, do not employ domestic servants, have a household annual income of over 1000 million yen, and meet the following criteria:
- (1) Those who have children under the age of 13 at the time of application
- (2) A person who has a spouse who is unable to perform daily housework due to illness or other reasons.
- 8. Those who hold a business manager visa, do not employ domestic servants, are the representative or a person in a position equivalent to the representative of a business establishment, and meet the following requirements:
- (1) Those who have children under the age of 13 at the time of application.
- (2) A person who has a spouse who is unable to perform daily housework due to illness or other reasons.
- 9. Those who hold legal or accounting visas, do not employ domestic servants, are the representative or representative-equivalent of a business establishment, and meet the following requirements:
- (1) Those who have children under the age of 13 at the time of application
- (2) A person who has a spouse who is unable to perform daily housework due to illness or other reasons.

Points to note when preparing application documents
