This visa corresponds to a specific activity visa, and is a status of residence that can be applied for if you wish to stay in Japan for a period of not more than one year and engage in activities such as sightseeing or recreation.
Spouses who accompany those who engage in the above activities such as sightseeing and recreation are also eligible.
The period of stay that can be applied for is 6 months, after which it can be renewed for an additional 6 months. (Maximum less than 1 year)
Requirements for obtaining specific activity visas
A person over the age of 18 who falls under any of the following conditions can obtain a visa if he or she stays in Japan for a period of not more than one year and engages in sightseeing, recreation, or other similar activities.
- ・According to laws and regulations, international agreements, or notices issued by the Japanese government to foreign governments, citizens of the country or region who are citizens of that country or region may purchase a regular passport issued by that country or region, without limiting the form of travel. Be a national of one of the countries/regions listed in Appended Table 9 that does not require a visa from a Japanese consular officer for those who wish to stay in Japan for a short period of time for sightseeing or other purposes. thing
