Overview

Requirements for obtaining specific activity visas

· In case of a spouse / child receiving a support of a foreigner who conducts "Specific research activities, etc." or "Specific information processing activities"
· If you are living with a foreigner who conducts "Specific Research Activities" or "Specific Information Processing Activities", and the parents of spouse of spouse of supporters who are dependent or are dependent
* For the above parents, it is necessary that all the following conditions are satisfied.
① to live with supporters and to receive their dependents.
② Having lived with a dependent in a foreign country and had been supported by that person.

③ To move to Japan with supporters.

Application flow

1. Preparation of application documents and other necessary documents.

2. Apply to the Immigration Bureau Submit the above documents.
3. Notification of results Notification of the results will be sent to the immigration bureau at the time of application by the envelope or postcard.
4. Procedure at the Immigration Bureau [In case of applying for a Certificate of Eligibility] Not required. [In the case of application for permission to change the status of residence and application for permission to renew the period of stay] Go to the Immigration Bureau, purchase an income stamp, and sign the receipt.

【Application for permission to change status of residence】

1. A document evidencing a relationship with a dependent in one of the following
   ① One copy of family register

Points to note when preparing application documents

1. Please submit all certificates issued in Japan within the period of 3 months from issue date.
2. If the documents to be submitted are in foreign languages, please attach a translation.
